Middle provo

I made it out in the Provo today just off hwy 40. It was only 15 degree air temp shut I was determined to get out of the house. By noon the fish were jumping and attacking but they didn’t like what I was using, BWO and a Caddis. There was one other person who caught 5, only 1 was about 14", but he was using a homemade midge. Anyhow I still had fun and froze in river but it was well worth it to get some practice.

Thanks for the report. I thought about heading out as well but didn’t want to deal with temps that cold.

This was my 2nd time ever fly fishing so if I could brave it I’m sure you could. It wasn’t that bad for the first hour and if you didn’t get in as deep as I did or stand on the side then it definitely would be tolerable. Especially when the fish start showing up and the action begins then the cold is on the back burner lol. If you go out the guy was using homemade black midge but he said something close should work. I just didn’t have anything close lol
