Lake Minnetonka
#1
Heading out to Lake Minnetonka tomorrow. Probably going to be fishing for Crappies and Bluegills. My "guide" told me he caught a limit plus pulled out a couple bonuses... a northern and a couple bass.

I'll try to remember my camera and take pictures of my catches. And Lonehunter, I'll be taking the Swedish Pimple with me. Wish me luck guys!

Couldn't find the camera. So no pictures... sorry guys.

It was a slow day according to my guide. Of course, for the panfish I was probably using too heavy duty of a rod (medium). It took about 4 hrs to catch a limit for all of us. There was a bonus Largemouth Bass (about 1 1/2 pounds) caught toward the end of our time on the ice.

It was definitely fun!

Hopefully Sunday will allow me some time to hit a different lake closer to home and not too far from wherever my gal's family decides lunch is. I wanna test out my new hand auger and tip-up.

Hmmm, what should I go for with the tip-up? What live baits should I use?

(Shiners are hard to come by in this area.)
