East Canyon Creek
#1
Was up north for a high school reunion, and me and some of my buddies slipped up to fish some of our old childhood waters. We hit East Canyon Creek and just had a blast on hoppers and droppers. The Browns and Cutts were more than willing to slam your hopper, and if for some reason the hopper didn't get hit, the dropper generally did. Nothing huge, but a ton in the 12-17" range. There was a plethora of hoppers around the creek this year, and it was fun to see them go flying into the river as we approached and immediately get gobbled up by a waiting trout. I miss that kind of fishing...nothing but still water down here, but I can't complain about the size we catch. Fun day! (no pics, sorry...too much action to take the time, plus nothing huge).

Sounds like an awesome trip! Thanks for sharing the details.

I am blown away as I thought EC Creek was all privatized.
