Personal Best Wiper at Willard
#1
Hit the north marina today at 6:30. Not takers near the buoys so I headed to the west bank. Pulling crankbaits at 2.8 - 3.0 mph picked up this big guy. My biggest to date, I would guess 5-5 1/2 lbs. Had another one hit me so hard he broke my line (probably weak from the first fish) and that was it for the day. Beautiful morning with only 5 other boats on the pond. [comicfish]

Very nice sir!

The color of that lure seems to me that it would "stand out" from everything else out there for them to eat.

Very nice fish, sorry to hear the second one broke you off. I switched to braid many years ago for that very reason. Going that fast I don't think they are very line shy.

Saved me a bunch of money on lures since.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the nice wiper.

I paint my own so it's quite unique. Lost it about 1/2 hour later on another wiper.[:/]
