#1
Hello all, I got myself a new name, formerly Nu2fishagian. I decided to pick up where Nightwawk left off with the

reports, until he gets back. This one is a little old but it's

more or less just a test for now.

Walter DeMattos, Nevada Department of Wildlife Creel Census Clerk said that anglers fishing the Overton Beach experienced limited success this past week. A few largemouth bass were taken with black plastic worms and poppers. The fish measured 12 – 14 inches. Stripers were also taken in the area of St. Thomas and Fish Island. The fish were small averaging only 13 inches. Anchovies were landing the fish.

Boaters fishing Echo Bay reported some success for small stripers that ranged from 12 – 14 inches. The fish were taken with anchovies.

Anglers fishing the lower basin were more successful than the previous week. Boaters fishing in the area near Sand Island had very good success landing striped bass that ranged from 14 – 16 inches. Anchovies were the bait of choice.

Shore anglers and boaters alike continued to find good success in the Saddle Cove area. Striped bass that averaged 14 inches were taken with anchovies.
Hemenway Cove was very productive for shore anglers as a striper that weighed in at 11 pounds was taken. The fish was taken with a lure that resembled a trout.

Windy conditions continued to contribute to the drop in fishing pressure at Cottonwood Cove. The anglers that fished experienced good success for striped bass and largemouth bass. A boater fishing in the area of mile marker 38 landed a largemouth bass that weighed in at four pounds. The fish was taken with an AC Plug. Another boater was successful taking a striped bass that weighed in at 20 pounds. The fish was taken with Swim bait.

Willow Beach shore anglers reported good success for rainbow trout that ranged from 10 – 12 inches. PowerBait was landing the fish.

The nighttime temperatures continued to hover in the low teens.
