3/30 at the Rock

I fished the Springfield / Branson Chef's tournament for Breast Cancer on Saturday. Although I didn't take a check I did have a good day on the water. Conditions were light and variable wind and overcast. It was cool, but not bad at all. I even shed the jacket for awhile in the late afternoon.

The fishing was pretty good also. I found fish mostly on secondary points with wind on them. I did not get one fish off a bank. I did find one lonely guy up shallow looking for a dancing partner. The best numbers bite seemed to be on the wart with the quality fish coming on a jig or jerkbait. I did hear of some spoon and grub fish being caught still.

All in all I would say get out there while the getting is good.

Table Rock near Branson MO. I fished another tournament this weekend and saw a bunch of good sacks. Also saw a good number of quality fish. I think this place is going to be awesome this year.
