to 3:30 p.m. Expert tyers from the East Jersey Chapter of Trout
Unlimited will be tying their favorite patterns in our exhibit hall.

*SO YOU WANT to START FLY FISHING?! - Saturday, March 6 at 10 a.m. If
you think fly fishing's for you this class is an excellent way to find
out. No equipment required for this review of what you need to get
started. Conducted by Wildlife Conservation Corps volunteers Jim Flatley
and Pierre Benoist. Registration is required.

*WILD TURKEY SEMINAR/CALLING CLINIC - Saturday, March 20 at 1 p.m.
Division Assistant Director and Wildlife Biologist David Chanda conducts
our annual program about the state's largest (and smartest!) game bird.
The Wild Turkey Restoration Project and the life history of the bird
will be highlighted, as well as some hunting tips. Immediately
following the seminar, members of the NJ Chapter of the Wild Turkey
Federation will conduct a turkey calling clinic. Registration is
required for the clinic.

GET STARTED IN FISHING - Sundays, March 21 and 28, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Members of the Central Jersey Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be at
Pequest to let you try your hand at casting different fishing outfits.
This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions about getting started
in this great sport.

*HOFNOD INSTRUCTOR TRAINING WORKSHOP - Saturday, March 27 at 9 a.m.
This program will help you get a Hooked On Fishing Not On Drugs
program (HOFNOD) started with youth. HOFNOD is a national program
developed by the Future Fisherman Foundation and sponsored in New Jersey
by the Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and
Wildlife. The goal of HOFNOD is to teach youth about fishing, interest
them in aquatic stewardship, improve social skills & provide them with a
fishing experience. Registration and a fee are required.
