East Canyon Reservoir
#1
Took the tube out and fished the south arm of East Canyon reservoir this morning. Air temp was 49 degrees at 7:30 am and 70 degrees at 10:30 am. Water temp at 60-61 degrees. Caught some planter bows on small blue/black wooly bugger. Tried different colors and sizes of streamers - that color seems to elicit the most strikes. Was hoping to catch some nymphing - real good midge hatch around 8:30 to 9, but couldn't get the right combination. Around 10 the south arm got very congested with boat traffic. After almost getting run over by an inattentive boat angler it was time for me to exit!

Thanks for the report and pictures.

The trouble now is the high temperatures coming will bring even more boat traffic. Sad
