Marlin
The marlin fishing has been just ok, few nice Blues this week and few Stripers.
Striped marlin is starting off very slow, the water is still too warm for them to move down from Mag Bay.
The temps here in Cabo last few days have cooled off, that should drop the water tems and get the fish on the move. This week there has been good number of Sailfish, they usually are here more in July but they are hanging around with the warm water.

Dorado
Has been the best it has been in 6 or 7 years, lots of 25 Lb to 30 Lb fish, few 40 Lb to 50 Lb. Our boats have been catching between 8 to 15 dorados per day.
The Dorados are from the Light House to Los Arcos, best action around Rancho Migrino. They are hitting everything you put in the water, the bigger dorado are being taken on live bait.

Tuna
Has been very slow, very few boats reporting fish.

Wahoo
We had one 60 Lbs Wahoo this week, slow trolling live bait. Few other reports on Wahoo being caught on Marauders up at Rancho Migrino.

Inshore
The panga have been sticking to the Dorado; are doing very good at the Light house in front of Hard Rock as far north at Los Arcos.

Come on down to Cabo, the weather is great and so is the fishing, no to crowded yet.

From The Admirals Kitchen!
SIERRA CEVICHE

Ingredients
1 kilo sawfish, ground, they can sell it that way or ask them to grind it
1/4 teaspoons ground oregano
15 lemons
2 serrano peppers, finite chopped
1 red onion, medium, finely chopped
1 cucumber, peeled and diced in small cubes
1 tomtato, finely chopped
15 branches fresh coriander, washed and chopped finely
salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1
In a good-sized bowl, put the ground saw and season with enough salt and pepper. Add the juice of the lemons and oregano and stir well.

Step 2
Marinate the fish for 10 or 15 minutes so it is well seasoned. When the fish is already well seasoned (it becomes whiter) you can either strain to remove the excess of lemon, or if you like a ceviche juice can leave the juice. The fish already has all the flavor of lemon, salt and oregano penetrated, so it is a matter of taste and preference if left with lemon or sneaks.

Step 3
Add the chili, the purple onion, the cucumber, the tomato and the cilantro and mix everything very well.

Step 4
It can be accompanied with toast spread with mayonnaise, with tortilla chips or as mentioned in the introduction with the "hard" of large pork rinds sold in the sweetshops. Delicious accompanied with bottle sauce.

COCKTAIL
Rum Runner

Ingredients
1 oz. light rum
• 1 oz. dark rum
• 1 oz. banana liqueur
• 1 oz. blackberry liqueur
• 1 oz. orange juice
• 1 oz. pineapple juice
• splash of grenadine

Instructions

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a glass over fresh ice. Garnish with fresh fruit.

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs. You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report.
