Lost Threads
#1
I started two threads last January titled "Rockport Miracle - 20 Jan 2020" and "East Canyon - 31 Jan 2020".  I was looking back because one of them had some pictures and a cool story that I wanted to pull off and keep in my records.  But the initial post that started the thread is not available on BFT anymore.  Is there anyway to recover it?  If I can't get the pictures, that's fine.  I still have those, but I'd really like the story the way I had initially posted it.  Can anyone help?

I'm not sure what happened but is this the thread you were talking about:
https://www.bigfishtackle.com/forum/show...id=1092918
It is the same day and title as you were saying but you did not start it, unless it was detached from this thread.
Here is the second post but again, you did not start it:
https://www.bigfishtackle.com/forum/show...id=1093960
From the looks of it, your reports were removed and all that remain is the replies.
I guess you are out of luck, I've gone back to the beginning of the year and no other post like that exits, that I can find. I started checking and it looks like all the post around that time, when the new site was launched, have the person that made the post missing, only replies remain. The people that made this site copied all the post from the old site to the this new site and it appears for some reason, they left the original poster off the post they made.

Yeah, those were the threads I was talking about.  I started them with my initial post/report, but I have only been able to pull the replies and comments, but my original posts are missing.  The East Canyon one I didn't care much about, but the Rockport one had a very cool story (about my pole being pulled into the hole by a fish, only to be snagged on a line from another group nearby a few hours later) with a couple neat pictures attached to it.  It's a bummer that there is no way to recover it...  I would have liked to file it away somewhere.  Thanks for looking through all the stuff, though.  I appreciate the effort.

I have no idea why they deleted the first post in those threads but it is what it is, sorry about that. If I find anything more about this I'll let you know.
