A Bear Lake report
#1
Headed down to meet my bro from Logan at the Bear for 3 days last week. Launched at first point all three days. Ramp was snow free and dry. Fought skim ice on the lake every morning til 10 or so. Jigged off first point, the pump-house, and second point. Fishing was not hot for us but we ended up with close to 20 cutthroats in the 3 days. Missed a bunch more. Never found the lakers we were hoping for. Weather was perfect. Not even a breeze all 3 days. Lots of boats on the lake. 6 inch glow tubes tipped with Cisco worked just fine. Best depth for us was 55-60 ft. Definitely plan another trip for April.

Great report, thanks for posting it, we don't get many from BL. Any size to the cutts you caught?

Mostly nice fish in the 18 to 20 inch range. Trying to add a photo. Here goes.

Wow, if that is a 20" cutt I need a new tape measure, good looking fish.
