Marlin
Marlin fishing has been good this week, marlin between 80 to 150 pounds at the 95 spot and La Herradura on lures and live bait.
We caught and released 1 marlin on Sunday, 10 on Monday, 1 on Tuesday, 6 on Thursday, 4 on Friday and 2 marlin and 1 sailfish today.

Dorado
A little more actions this week but not big numbers at the 95 spot and La Herradura on lures, we caught 7 small dorado on Sunday, 2 on Tuesday, and a 25 Lbs dorado today.

Tuna
Still very slow they are just starting to show, we caught 3 football size tuna on Tuesday and 2 on Thursday at La Herradura on cedar plugs.

Wahoo
No reports of wahoo this week.

Rooster
No reports of Rooster this week.

Inshore
Inshore fishing has been constant, few white bonitas, few small grouper and few snapper caught this week at the Herradura, Gray rock, Chileno and Santa Maria.

Come on down to Cabo! The weather is great and all the restaurants and bars are open!

WEATHER: The outlook for Cabo San Lucas in the two weeks ahead shows the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 31°C, with a high for the two weeks of 33°C expected on the afternoon of Friday 25th. The average minimum temperature will be 23°C, dipping to its lowest on the morning of Monday 21st at 21°C. Expect the following 14 days ahead to have mixed weather with some days dry and some seeing a little rain. Predictions are Tuesday 29th will have the most precipitation with an accumulation of around 3.0mm. On the whole winds are likely to be moderate.

Baked Mahi Mahi with Parsley Sauce
This baked mahi mahi recipe is made in the oven with a simple seasoning and a lemon parsley sauce. It’s flavorful, healthy, and easy enough for weeknights. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

INGREDIENTS:
4 mahi mahi fillets, about 1 – 1 1/2 pounds
Salt & pepper, to taste
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon capers + 1 teaspoon brine
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400˚F.

Step 2
Season mahi mahi with salt & pepper. Place in a baking dish.

Step 3
Stir the remaining ingredients together in a small bowl. Spoon about 1/2 the sauce onto the mahi mahi and reserve the rest for later.

Step 4
Bake the mahi mahi for about 10 – 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Step 5
Remove from oven and top with remaining sauce before serving.

SUMMER TANTALIZERS
Sangria

Ingredients
• 1 bottle red table wine
• 1/2 c. brandy
• 1/2 c. orange juice
• 1/2 c. pomegranate juice
• 2 c. sparkling water
• 1/4 c. simple syrup
• orange slices
• apple slices
• blackberries
• pomegranate seeds

Instructions
Stir all of the ingredients together in a pitcher. Put the pitcher in the refrigerator and let stand overnight. Pour sangria into glasses. Garnish with an orange wedge.

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs. You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report.
