Lake Michigan brown trout

[black]Cabin fever got the best of us this weekend and we decided to take our 16-foot Alumacraft out for the first trip of the year. We launched out of Bender Park in Oak Creek because the boat launch is still frozen in Sheboygan. The lake conditions were perfect, just a 1-foot chop from the south and the air temp was in the mid 50's. We worked our way in and out of the warm water discharge by Oak Creek power plant for most of the trip. Although conditions seemed perfect for us the fish seemed to have other ideas. We did manage to boat 3 brown trout in the 3-5 pound class. All the fish came on ski board lines with orange and gold Cleo's. We fished between 10 and 18 feet of water. Talked to a couple other boat's at the dock and they had between 1 and 3 fish, most seem to say it was much better the day before. (Heard that one before) We will keep you posted as we get the chance to fish.[/black]
