Cadence Elate reel turning slowly
#1
I'm a relatively new angler building my basic combos selection which includes a Candence Elate 2000 spinning reel. The reel has worked fine for me overall but slowed more and more over time, to the point that I set it aside until I could clean and relube it. It's a little better after the treatment but still takes more force to turn than my Pflueger or Okuma spin reels.

It turns smoothly and keeps momentum when I spin it, but it's just harder to turn than my other reels. I even practiced cleaning and lubing my Pflueger before I worked on the Cadence. It's usable... But if I'm trying to set a sliding weight bottom rig, for example, the slowness ruins my sensitivity to the line being comfortably taut or the weight moving. I haven't been able to find articles or anything about this problem with this reel, so does anyone here have ideas?
