Sawzall for cutting up big game?
#1
While researching for a trip to hunt in Alaska I learned that somebody used a Sawzall to cut up their moose or caribou. Does anyone have experience with using one this way? Seems like it might work great to split an elk into quarters to pack out. I guess it would mainly be for bone but I wonder if it would work for meat too.
The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

I’ve used one on elk to cut legs and head off but that was when we had the whole gutted animal back to the house, not sure it would be practical to haul one to Alaska for the limited amount of cutting I would use it for and weight restrictions that might be involved depending on where your going/using bush planes. A pack saw and good knives will get it broken down
