Hyrum check out
#1
Checked out Hyrum this afternoon.  The last couple storms that dropped substantial rain seems to have pretty much melded everything into a single opaque layer above the better ice.  Talked to one fisherman coming off and he indicated ice was good and no issues getting on or off, but wished he had not forgotten his cleats.  Said a few trout but no perch he was looking for.  It's not getting as warm as predicted and maybe there is hope yet for good ice conditions.

Was the fisherman just off the boat ramp? Been watching him on the dam cam today... So was the top layer strong enough to keep you out of the slush? If so that's great news... Thanks for posting the conditions... Jeff
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!

Really dis not seem to be but a single layer from the rain and snow ove the better ice.  Pretty slick so need chains/cleats.  The fisherman I visited with were coming from down by the junk cars and walking back along shore to avoid the slick.  The gur from the ramp was lipping around and caught nothing.
