They know what they want!!!!
#1
Just about a month ago my truck would not start. I had a mobile mechanic come replace the starter and that got it to fire up but then I had a loud noise coming room under the cab on the front end of transmission. It also would not engage into a year. I could shift my shifting lever through all the years but nothing engaged. I had it towed to my mechanic who subsequently said he couldn't do anything it had to go to a transmission shop.

Fast forward 3 weeks to appointed day they were too tow it and I talked to transmission mechanic? Owner? Who said that from what he heard from my mechanic it will need a rebuild or new transmission. This will cost me between $6,000 for a rebuild with no warranty up to $12,000 for a new one. It cost more as my truck is deleted and chipped. This was all a shock to me as I was expecting $4,000 for a rebuild. With the cost of things like parts they sure know what they want for things.....
