yah thats right another oil dumping half way between the rouge river and st clair. that makes three dumpings in two weeks. this new dump apears to be the same size as the last one. This is bad news. I have seen the damage from oil spills in the gulf. That is raw crude. Once it is refined it is harder to clean up. Has any results come back on testing the samples yet? Ill suply the rats. first dumping was at st clair shores pbb's (probably a water soluable cutting oil. (athorities no clue) two weeks later the rouge river (two days ago) today several miles north of the rouge river. the latest news browdcast just said ther is no conection on the dumpings. Here is a shocker for you, the fine was reported today for dumping is a mere $27,000.oo fine. The cost to date for the clean up is in excess of $300,000.oo. It is time that every one her in Michigan starts thinking as to what the future is going to be for their children. A volunteer walks away from here 2 years ago with a money pot from the Salvation Army with a reported $2 - $300 dollars in change faces a ten-year felony. Lets compare this to a small business owner who makes $27,000 in just a week or so. Lets get it real folks. They can afford the gamble of getting caught, the cost of disposing of (sending to a recycle facility) ten thousand gallons of oil is around $10,000.oo. That’s a dollar a gallon. Now the last I checked a quick-change oil station charges $25.oo for a four-cylinder engine that holds one gallon of oil. Now lets do the math. 10,000 gallons of oil multiplied by the income of those oil changes = 10,000 cars times $25.oo = $250,000.oo. Now I ask you if you could gamble on saving $10,000 would you? For a business it has to do with the bottom line. After they cut back everywhere they can they look for somewhere else to cut back. There are no ethics involved here only criminal acts. SO WAKE UP 20 years ago Ford Motor Company On the head waters of the Rouge River was cited for a million dollars a day for dumping in to the wet lands at the head of the Rouge River a total of 90+ days they paid it willingly to stay in business. That didn’t clean up the dumping. Let me ask you about your personal house keeping. Do you force your children to live in a squallier of filth and trash, leave in your refrigerators expired milk and molded foods, let the trash over flow your trash bins, throw cigarette butts on the floor of your child’s bedroom, how about flicking your ashes in your baby's crib. I am being ridicules now you state - I say different, when you allow laws to allow business to get away with dumping and stay in operation. Your children and your children’s children pay the price when they play in those waters, they swallow it when they swim, it gets in their ear canals and causes permanent damage, it goes in to their sinuses in their eyes and nose. You may as well be flicking your cigarette ashes in your baby's face, because that is just what you are doing when you allow the filth to continue. Slapping them on the wrist with an affordable fine is but a joke for them. ok now the news is saying that there is only one dumping. and it is about 15000 gallons of oil. now it seemes to me that there only a few types of business that have the facilities to store 15000 gallons of waist oil. sympely by looking at the city plans as to who has those ficilities you can walk right up to their front door and cuff-em. the news is reporting saying that the culprit may face jail time. HA_---- I will beleive it when I see it. yesterday a man is found guilty of killing a dozen horces last year by throwing a firecracker into the barn setting it a blaze. the man walked back in to his house and watched the fire burn. didnt call for help or nothing. arson is a felloney here in michigan. he clamed that it was a drunken prank. and not deliberate. he gets off with one year in jail and three years probation where he is not allowed to have any booze a slap on the rist. his lawyer is planning an appeal. so where was peta on this one? sleeping at the helm once again sticking its nose where it dosnt belong and not looking out for where it should. here is an open and shut case for animal crulity and they pull a no show. so do you think that peta is looking into this oil dumping where thousands of animals are in need legal representation. no they dont give a rats patutie about these hurt animals. here is where they should be seeking both civil and criminal charges against those who dumped the oil. and the man who burned a half a dozen horses to death. insted they would rather chase after some circus who is feeding a hand raised polar bear who is living the good life. Hay Dave, FYI: I tryed to submit your coments to PeTA with the question of : Can you answer this or will you just trash it? When I went to submit it, their website tryed to download somthing to my computer and would not accept my question. So I guess it has been trashed. My program would not let the download as it was desined as a vires. More proof of PeTA not doing what they say they are. When there is a problem that is new and not from their members, They do not want to hear about it. Ill be XXXXX if I will join the likes of terrorest suporters. last I herd was over 300 thousand. that was last thursday. they had picked up 18 thousand gallons as of thursday. they have opened up the river for boat trafic (no wake and only during daylight hours) the media has slowed down on its coverage even though they should have the results of the oil back now they have not said where the oil came from. they are still looking for a factory. I myself do not think that a factory owner is stupid enough to dump near his own factory that would make it traceable. The media gave its (probably) last report on the dumping last Sunday. (A 10 second report) stating that authorities think that it came from somewhere in Dearborn and the cleanup cost was over 2 million at this point. Personally I think some one got paid off [mad] I could be wrong but I don’t think so. I tend to pay attention to the coverage of the media. Since the “dumping” there has been a ton of coverage on killings in Detroit. There are so many of them they had stopped coverage on them years ago. well I feal a little better about the media today they made another post on the dumping, reporting that the cleanup crew has colected 30 thousand gallons of oil so far. and they should be finished by the weekend. but that is what they said about last thursday. still cant belive that it is taking so long to back track the oil. The sewer line has to be oil coated. we havent had much rain to wash the oil clean yet this year it would seem to me that the bigger the amount oil there is would reduce the number of companies that have the ability to store it. if some one stored it in 55 gallon drums they would have to have had over 550 drums. you cant hide that many drums. havent herd any thing on the pbb dumping in St Clair Shores in over a month now. <A HREF="http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/" target="_new">http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/</A> Lookie See what the kids are up to. two days has past no reports on oil dumping or PCB dumping, we did how ever get 11 more murders the news in two days time. I wonder if these people know how hard it is to flush 30 thousand gallons of oil down the toilet. report on the river in the news yesterday. why the [cool] symble? the FBI has started using crawler cameras and sending them up the sewers. warents have been issued for inspection of an oil holding ficility. if they did they did the city did not release the information the press or legal athorities.

I would truly like to know about each step that was taken to find the culpret.

but with the information like this past week With the city of detroit and Mayor Kilpactric garenteeing the cities vote to Governor candidate Grandholm. while grandholm maintans plausable deniability, Kilpactric changed his song, and denied the implication when a week prior he defended the offer on news video cammeras.

if it looks like a fish smells like a fish and is constantly steeling the bait then most likly they come from the same school.

makes me scaired about what will be comming in the near fruture with polititions becimming bed fellows.
