[#000000]PERCY PRIEST (March 16)

Surface Temp:52 to 54 degrees.
Lake Level: 486

CRAPPIE - When the water is settled, crappie anglers are catching quite a few fish from Fates Sanders Marina and above. Minnows and jigs are working well around brush piles and in Spring and Fall creeks.

BASS - Bass fishing is good, with many fish now being caught shallow. Some of the larger fish are coming down. Any number of lures will catch fish, but a Rat-L-Trap (chrome and blue) has been a very good bait. Sizes 1/4 to 1/2-ounce are the right sizes. Fish shallow.

HYBRIDS/STRIPERS - Both fish are beginning to bite well as the water temperature at Priest gets into the 50-degree range. The fish are biting live baits (gizzard shad or shiners) and also buck-tail jigs. Look for them to be pursuing shad into coves and even into shallow water.
