Big Sandy Fishing Report March 23,24 2001
#1
The lake level is 355.50 the water temperature is 49 to 54.7 deg, We had 43 keepers Friday with most of the fish caught in 14’ to 18’ of water with bait’s 11’’ to 13’. The crappie are doing very well with movement to shallower water every day. Try slow trolling flats in 8 to 10 foot of water with the baits 7 to 9 foot deep. also small ledges around 14’ to 18’ My best baits this weekend were 3/32oz TeeZur Green Monster, 3/32oz TeeZur Hot Head black with green eyes with a black/chart skirt tipped with a crappie nibble. 3/32oz TeeZur Hot head Chart with red/black eyes with an orange/chart and a 1/8oz TeeZur minnow head pink/white with a smoke/clear sparkle/pink minnow tube filled with Kodiak paste. Big fish for Friday was a 2.7# Winds were very strong Saturday, which didn’t let us get out on the main parts of the lake. Take a friend fishing and cherish every moment like it’s the last and always have respect for others.

Charles (KYLCRAPPIE)

teezur@hotmail.com
KYLCRAPPIE@Hotmail.com
