Lake Toho Fishing Report
#1
Lake Toho
Fishing Report
by: Captain Chuck Matthews/800-936-7398
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com
March 28, 2001

Although we still have cold fronts coming and going, the fishing has picked up this week and the bass are showing signs of getting active. The fish that have completed their spawn are starting to get aggressive. I find that after a spawn, the strike zone does get small and the fish are just to stressed out to chase a bait. It seems that zone has increased and they are more aggressive. So while fishing, be aware of your surroundings and watch for movement of swirling bass.

There have been fish on beds on the north side of the lake and the south end of Brown’s Point. Fish are being caught in open water on rattle traps. Gold is a good choice. The
front of Red’s Fish Camp, Goblet’s Cove, Brown’s Point are good areas. There have been fish moving in the grass inside of North Steer. Topwater early and flukes work well.
Go to spinner baits or a worm as the day goes on. Shiners are still very good to use because the bass will aggressively go after live bait at this time.

For open water with rattle traps, find places in about five feet of water over hydrilla. On clear days, use a silver or gold trap. On cloudy days go to a darker trap.

Please drop me a line with any questions or comments at:
CaptainChuck@centralfloridabassfishing.com

Till next week, have a good hook up,

Captain Chuck Matthews
Professional Bass Guide
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com

Captain Chuck Matthews
Edited by CaptainChuck on 03/28/01 03:50 PM.
