Although the wind has been whipping there have been a few productive days in the Gulf. Fishing out of Hernando Beach in 32 to 40ft of water, we have been catching grouper up to 36 inch. While squid and mullet seem to produce, trolling lures just off the bottom and sometimes allowing one to skip off the bottom have been producing the larger fish. The only dis-advantage of running your lures that close, is that you will loose one now and then. Look for good water movement and be carefull anchoring around the reefs to avoid damage. <br><br>
