Tip of the week (Leech Collar)
#1
To keep leeches from balling up on jigs, first slide a short piece of surgical tubing over the jig collar. Hook the leech far enough behind the sucker so the sucker can reach and attach itself to the tubing. Leeches rarely curl up when they're attached to something.—

Got a diagram for me to see? Heh, I never have used leeches. Don't like things that suck my blood.

I usually just hook my leeches just about even with the bottom edge of the sucker, and don't have too much of a problem with them. Leeches curl up also when the water temperature gets cold. If I use them in cold water, I will try your tip. By the collar of the jig, are you talking about sliding the tubing on the shank of the hook? Please elaborate, or sketch? Thanks.
