Big Sandy Crappie Report March 31, April 1 2001
#1
The lake level is 355.6, with the water temperature at 49 to 51deg , Big Sandy’s spawn in right around the corner. The crappie are hitting very good if you can catch the wind just right. Saturday I boated 61 crappie with a limit by 12 noon, Had several big fish with top fish at 1.5 pounds. Try fishing drops and ledges around 14 to 16 foot deep with the baits around 13 foot. Best baits were 3/32oz TeeZur Hot Head yellow chartreuse with a orange/chartreuse skirt the Green Monster and candy yellow with a orange/chartreuse skirt. Most of the big fish came off of the Green Monster. Also try tipping jigs with minnows and or crappie nibbles. The weather was pretty nasty on Sunday so I didn’t go out, This week is going to be warm so get the Kids and boat ready and have a blast with some Big Sandy Crappie! The water temperature will be warming up more every day this week so this weekend should be even better.

Charles (KYLCRAPPIE)

TeeZur Crappie Jigs teezur@hotmail.com
KYLCRAPPIE@Hotmail.com
