Lake Mead Report
#1
Went out this morning at 5:30. Caught 4 bass today. All within casting distance of shore. Used 1/8 oz. brass and glass Texas rigged Senko and a brown jig. Look for chunk rock, primary and secondary points and fish about 12 to 15 for the larger fish. All fish were caught on Senko. Wind made it hard to detect bites. I probably got picked up and moved several times and didn't know it till too late. Went to Sturgeon Kid's water and caught one bass. Gota respect Sturgeon Kid that he could effectively fish there from shore. Some areas would be a real challenge for presentation.

Thanks for the info. Just one question, who sells these Senkos? I have been to a few places and when I ask about them all I get is the Deer in the headlight stare. As far as SturgenKids' spot, I took an empty handed walk around down there a few month ago and realized it was too much effort. The climb back up the truck just about killed me.

Try Sports Authority or Lake Plaza on Lake Mead Ave? near Lake Las Vegas resort in Henderson or order direct from Yamamoto.

Try this Bassdozer link for tips on how to rig and fish them.

Any of the 4 fish I caught could have been caught from shore!
Try Calville Bay. Little easier to get around. Try in the evenings if you get my drift. The tournaments dump the days catch in the harbor. [Wink]

Really a spring bite so don't wait too long.
