Shimano baitrunner 6500
#1
Hi guys! I recently purchased a Shimano Baitrunner 6500 reel on an auction site which didn't come with any kind of paperwork, ie: breakdown of parts and their numbers. I contacted Shimano direct to which I was told they could only do something for me if they received a defective model back that still had papers. (Believe that?) Would anyone out there have some paperwork they could scan and email. Even willing to spend a couple o' bucks for the info, if that's what it takes.
harryk

The paper that they are talking about is your receipt. You used your credit card for your purchase so you do have valid proof of perches.

This is only good for a certain time period. (Under Warranty)(Most implied warranties are 30 days from perches)
Other than that you will have to send it in to be worked on and pay for parts and labor.

It is not uncommon to perches a reel with out the specs whether it is online or your favorite market around the corner. When contacting them again (and I am sure you will want to) ask them specifically for a spec's chart with blueprint and parts list. Include a copy of your receipt they will have to supply one for you. Be sure that you contact them by phone Email and snail mail.

use this address to contact the corect persons for your Q&A's
http://fish.shimano.com/company/index.html

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
Lookie See what the kids are up to.
Dave T. Thanx for the info, Dave. Much appreciated!
For whatever reason I could only come up with a phone number, which I called. I don't believe I had access to their email address.
harryk
