West Coast Grouper
#1
I went out late this afternoon. Decided the funiture I was building could wait when a couple buddys dropped by with nothing to do. So a couple dozen pinfish, squid and we were on our way to paridise. The seas were flat with a slight sea breeze, and with that it took only 25 minutes to hit 30ft of water. Once there the current was ripping and the bite was on. With in 30 minutes seventeen grouper were caught with all but two released. We decide to troll some so out went the Black and crhome Manns. Just as I watch the sonar marck some huge fish the line on the down rigger snapped like a rifle. Now, if you have been reading my reports, you would notice that I have been running my lures right off the bottom. So one would think I may have hit a rock. Had I not marked the fish I too may have thought the same. The weather is great this weekend. A trip to the middle grounds is whats in store for me so I will report on my retrurn.

Capt.
