ONLINE APPLICATION PROGRAM OPEN FOR FIRST THREE DRAWINGS

PIERRE, S.D. – Hunters applying online for South Dakota’s big game licenses are reminded that the program is open for the first three drawings.

"As we move further into 2004, applicants are reminded that the online application program can be used for the first three drawings," said Deb Allerdings of the Game, Fish and Parks License Office. "Licenses available after the third drawing are first-come, first-served, and a paper application must be submitted at that point."

The online application system continues to increase in popularity for license applicants. "Estimates indicate we received just more than 65 percent (50 percent in 2003) of all of this year’s spring turkey applications via the Internet," Allerdings said. She noted that approximately 72 percent (62 percent in 2003) of nonresidents used the online program.
