INDIAN CREEK HOSTS 2ND ANNUAL CAR AND MOTORCYCLE SHOW
PIERRE, S.D. – If cool cars, classic cruisers and custom vehicles are your passion, head to Indian Creek Recreation Area near Mobridge. The park invites both competitors and spectators to attend the 2nd Annual Car and Motorcycle Show on Sunday, May 2.
The show will feature vehicles in nine classes: Antiques, Convertibles, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Stock Cars, Pick-ups and three classes of Motorcycles - Cruiser, Custom, and 1200CC and under. All model years are eligible to compete in all classes, except the Antique class, which is limited to vehicles made in or before 1954. Awards will be given to the top two places in each class, as well as for Best of Show and People’s Choice.
A disc jockey will be on-site to provide music throughout the event. Visitors can also compete in a horseshoe-throwing contest at 1 p.m. at nearby Revhiem Bay Recreation Area.
Registration for the competition begins at 10 a.m. at the park’s main entrance. The first 100 vehicles will receive a free dash plaque. Judging will begin at noon, with the winners announced at 4 p.m.
Entrants can pre-register through the park office for $15, or for $20 on the day of the show. The entry fee includes a tee shirt and the vehicle’s entrance to the park for the day.
There is no fee for spectators, but a valid park entrance license is required of all vehicles entering the park, except those entered in the show.
