OFFSHORE (Federal Waters):

Cherry Grove: Sea bass in the 50-pound range have been reported, along with nice catches of several varieties of snapper, fishing 20 miles out from the Little River Inlet on the bottom. Use cigar minnows or cut bait.

Murrells Inlet: Big "fat" black bass, large grouper, red snapper, triggerfish and amberjack have been reported 10 miles offshore using clams, squid or cigar minnows. Not much luck has been had trolling.

Charleston Area: Peanut dolphin (mahi mahi), nice wahoo, a couple of sailfish were taken, and a very nice blue marlin was caught and released around the Edisto bank and the "226.".

Edisto River/St. Helena Sound: No activity to report.

Beaufort Area: Dolphin (mahi mahi) have been reported trolling with ballyhoo at the south end of the Deli.
