Striper fishing the last week or so has been real unpredictable. At times the stripers are hitting like there is no tomorrow then the next day it is hard to even get a bite. When they are on the bite 4 to 7 lbs. has been the average, fishing the Minooka and Lucas Park area with live shad fished between 1and 30 feet. The stripers are in a prespawn pattern and moving all the time. I have been getting reports of nice walleye being taken in the minooka area with a jig and worm combo fishing the flats and humps. If this weather would ever stablize the fishing should be excellent. Good Luck<br><br>
