Largemouth and smallmouth bass are on points, humps, flats, and rocky areas. Fish the surface to 15 feet deep with spooks, Carolina rigged lizards, bandits, spinner baits, or topwater lures. Crappie are on brush piles, submerged trees along bluffs, and at any creek or spring location. Crappie are close to brush to 12 feet deep. Live minnows and purple, white, or orange jigs are the best baits. Catfish are mainly caught on rocky bluffs or in the river or creek beds. Fish with night crawlers and cut baits. Striped bass and Cherokee bass are being caught in the areas of Points 8-10, Points 17-19, and Points 21-25. Trollers are using big white or orange jigs and 30 plus crank baits. Straight line fishermen are using spoons and live shad.
