OLD HICKORY
#1
Surface Temp: 51 degrees.
Lake Level: 445 ft.

BASS: Bass fishing continues to be pretty good on Percy Priest. A shallow running crankbait in the backs of creeks is a good bait to toss right now, as are jigs around structure.

CATFISH: Catfish are being taken around the steam plant area in Gallatin. He says that anglers are catching their own bait, in many cases skipjack which stay in the area, cutting them up and then fishing from bank out into the canal. The fishing is steady, but not outstanding.

CRAPPIE: There are a few anglers moving around the lake and taking a few fish, but overall the action is fairly slow as yet. Al, some days, will check an angler with 8 or 10 fish, but the same angler might have only 1 or 2 in following days. Look for crappie over humps or structure around creek ledges. There may be a few shallow, but there probably aren't many yet
