Grandfathers who "Take" their kids fishing
#1
If you'll allow me a moment of ego boosting, please. My grand daughter, who will turn 16 next month, has decided that she'd like to spend a couple of weeks with me in Colorado -- fishing. Yes, a 16 y/0, a teenager, wants to spend her time fishing than doing other stuff during summer vacation. I'm tickled pick, to say the least. She doesn't want to sit around all day watching TV or playing computer games or sleeping but wants to fish. She wants to get up at the crack of dawn and go somewhere where there are no malls or shopping centers as long as its fishing. Trout, catfish, saugeye, walleye, bass, wiper, crappie, any fish will do as long as it tugs on the line and gives a thrill or two. Her drug of choice? Dr. Pepper and beef stick.
Okay, so I'm laying it on a little thick but I'm damn proud of this young lady and will do everything within my power to show her the good time that she deserves.
Can anyone match that?
