It's time to re-evaluate our involvement!

Every day there are news reports about more deaths. Every night on TV there are photos of death and destruction. Why are we still there?

We occupied this land, which we had to take by force, but it causes us nothing but trouble. Why are we still there?

Many of our children go there and never come back. Why are we still there?

Their government is unstable, and they have loopy leadership. Why are we still there?

Many of their people are uncivilized. Why are we still there?

The place is subject to natural disasters, which we are supposed to bail them out of. Why are we still there?

There are more than 1000 religious sects, which we do not understand. Why are we still there?

Their folkways, foods and fads are unfathomable to ordinary Americans. Why are we still there?

We can't even secure the borders. Why are we still there?

They are billions of dollars in debt and it will cost billions more to rebuild, which we can't afford. Why are we still there?

It is becoming clear... WE MUST PULL OUT OF CALIFORNIA!

There are over 400 ocean species and over 70 freshwater species of fish. That's why I'm still here.[cool]

Hey SM, Don't get me wrong buddy. I did like it. I even found humor enough to enjoy it.

I guess I need to drag you out here some day so that you can see why we start out as sane people out here and then just turn in to complete.............Fishing Anglers!

True. Ther is a lot more to do here than other states, but it does have a high cost. When you're born here you grow numb to freaky looking people.

There are alot of great things about the great state of California. But sorry to say there are 2 that caused me to pack my bags and head out for safer locations.
The cost of living is at a point that my income would only suport living in a cardboard box. With the weather out there I guess that would not be all that bad. But trying to find a safe place with all the natural disasters makes me turn away every time I think of returning.
I do not speek with out actual experiances of thies disasters. Durring a trip down The coastal highway 1 I got stranded because of fire in the BigSur area. Also lived in the southern area of the SF bay just south of SanJose. this is SanAndreos Falt area. Many times did I deal with cleaning up after earth quakes. Don't get me wrong as I did truly love the great weather but you all can keep the earthquakes, fires and high cost of living. I will stay put where I do not have that daily worries of those problems. At least in Apalachia a person can live a cumfertable life style on a measly income under $600 per month.
