Lake Woodmere (about 3 hours from DC) offers the best freshwater pond fishing you ever could want. Huge and hungry large mouth bass, blue gill, pickerel, yellow perch and crappie will want to leap into your boat. Jeri and John Waters are our hosts at their lovely little cabin on the shore of Lake Woodmere. No waders needed. Bring rain gear, fly rods and spinning gear too. Fish from a boat on this private lake using one of their 2 canoes, 2 single person pontoons, or 2 small Jon Boats with electric trolling motors or bring your own. It is a perfect spot for a personal kick boat too. No license is required because it is Free Fishing Day in NJ. Come down on Friday night; or arrive Saturday morning.
