Jordanelle Success (report) june 5th
#1
Left home at 6:30 am, and was on the water by 7:30 am. Sped over to the east side of the dam and started working the shoreline with rapalas imitating perch. The best action of the day was early morning with the rapalas cast a few feet of shore and then retreived to the boat quickly-between 3 of us we had 10 fish in an hour all good sized smallmouths. By about 9:00 am it was slower and tube jigs worked well bouncing them off the bottom in about 15 feet of water. Headed back home at noon. Final fish count was 18 smallmouth, 4 perch, and 2 HUGE chubs. Pic below is a good example of the average smallmouth we were catching.

Nice report. We were up there as well today. We didn't have as much luck with the crank baits, but the tubes were very helpful. Welcome to BFT! Good luck on your next trip.

Nice going! It is getting more and more fun as the weather heats up! You gotta love fishing for those smallies. Nails

Nice smallie, but that's a real small smallie... not to burst your bubble, but to excite you to further your fishing experience at the 'nelle.

For your information, Jordanelle has some real giant smallies over 20 inches, and fat as a NFL-approved football that its girth will be bigger than you can hold... They are the heartbreakers and the angst of all fellow smallie anglers, as they are constantly breaking lines and poles... Just ask Tomegun.... 'Nelle is his home office!
