#1
HYBLA VALLEY, VA —The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) recently announced that another northern snakehead had been pulled from a Potomac River tributary. The fish is reportedly bigger and older than the five previously caught.

[#000000]DNR officials say a Maryland angler caught the 24-inch, 5.14-pound fish in Little Hunting Creek, on the Virginia side of the river. The catch is the sixth of its kind in the Potomac since late April. [/#000000]

[#000000]All of the Potomac snakeheads have been sent to the Smithsonian Institute to determine if they are related. Because of the most recently caught snakehead's size, biologists say it could be a parent of the other fish. [/#000000]
