I recently purchased a used Eagle z-5000 fish finder and I was wondering if anybody else here has one or has used one and whether you can find the thermoclyne easy using yours?

I dont have one, but find the question of intrest my self.
the electronics I have seen that envolved tempreture readings all had a probe that lowered down manualy. Dose this unit have such a device attachment? I know I am falling behind in the electonics area, I will have to get out to do some window shopping.... [signature]

According to the directions in the manual if I set the sesitivity on its highest setting it will actually show the thermoclyne as a broken up cloud on the screen but not always. It does not take the temp. but somehow shows where the difference in temps is by sonar. That is what I am questioning. Either way its the first finder I ever bought and just finding structure, underwater points and dropofffs whas worth what I paid for it.
