WATTS BAR
#1
(8/11/04) - Surface temperatures are cooler. Clinch River surface temperatures are in the upper 60's and the Tennessee River water surface temperature is 77 degrees. Stripers are being caught in the Clinch River and the tailwaters below Ft. Loudoun. Bass fishermen are having a tougher time catching any sizable fish. Many are being caught, but most are under the required minimum. Plastic worms and crankbaits fished in the main channel will increase the odds of catching fish. Drifters are catching catfish in all areas of the lake. The better section has been north of Highway 58. White bass are being caught along the river humps.
