DALE HOLLOW
#1
8/11/04) - Fishing is slow. The water temperature is 86 degrees; lake is falling. A very few big walleye are being caught in the flats in the middle section at the lake, while trolling very slow with nightcrawler rigs in 30 feet of water. Smallmouth are being caught on points with grass on jigs at night in 17-to-22 feet of water. Most big fish are being caught after midnight. Largemouth are trying to make a comeback. Several good fish in the 3-to-5 pound class are being caught on 8" plastic worms on grassbeds and breaks. Bluegill are excellent for a few fishermen on meal worms, while fishing edges of grass in 25 feet of water.
