Captain Dave hanson of Fishbuster Charters fished offshore from New Pass in Naples this week and at the reefs off Bonita Beach, using light and heavy tackle with live shrimp, pinfish, grunts and blue runners. Our clients caught keeper mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel and kingfish to 25 inches, hogfish to 19 inches, triggerfish, nurse shark to 5 feet (released), and keeper gag grouper to 33 inches. They also hooked but lost a few large jewfish. Nice to see the keeper grouper back, after several months of shorts, due to cold water temperatures.
