Fished the Rock Cliff arm with my brother in our pontoons last night from 5:30-8:30. The water was choked green with algae, and down about six or seven feet in dept.h from last month. Very first cast with a wacky rigged 5" watermellon/purple flake senko yielded a 16" 2lb 3oz smallie. Took awhile to get back into the fish. Caught four perch and a 14" 1lb 10oz smallie on a 1/16 oz gitzit. Then put a 3" popper on and caught a 4" smallie. Caught a few more small ones on a 1/4 oz perch colored rocket shad before heading in. Most fish were caught in 5' of water or less. In all caught 7 smallmouths and 4 perch. I plan on going back up tomorrow morning, got to get my fishing fix before school starts.
