Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Whitebass fishing has slowed the past few days. The wind has been up and the morning cooler nd these make the current run slower. Slower current means the whitebass hit slower. That should change and the heat will come back up. When it does the whitebass will be on the surface again. Smallmouths are spotty, but are hitting better on Kentucky Lake. Short Carolina rigged worms are catching most. Largemouth are on the drop offs and are hittinh deep crnkbaits and plastics. The size is smaller. The bigger fish are not hitting as well. Bluegill are under the docks are under whatever shade they can find. Catfishing is excellant below both dams. Most are hitting cut shad. The better catches are coming in the early part of the night when the current is still running.

TIP: When fishing for surfacing feeding whitebass, match the lure to the size of the baitfish.

BITS AND PIECES: "I have no destination and I'm already half way there."
