Big Sandy Crappie Report April 28,29, 2001
#1
The Water level is 360, the water temperature is 69 to 73, The crappie was very hard to catch this weekend. Most of the crappie has spawned but there are some late stragglers that can be caught in the spawning areas. The last two days were pretty good with fish scattered. Caught some good keepers Sunday by slow trolling flats in 11 to 13 foot of water with the baits about 1 foot off the bottom. Best baits today were TeeZur minnow head pink/white with a smoke/clear/sparkle/pink minnow tube filled with Kodiak, and a TeeZur hot head white with red/black eyes with an orange/chart skirt, and the Teezur Green Monster. With all Guide trips over for the year I’m going to enjoy the lake now. This will probably be my last post for the summer, So have a Safe and enjoyable one.
