Well today was a little too clear and hot for the fish to be very active .. Ihad a couple dosen browns not more that three feet in front of me swimming in my shadow . the only thing in the sky besides the sun was a juvinal eagle and the grey heron .
I had two on today , first was a sizeable male on a spawn sack just after the fog lifted , man what a ride ! first he ran for the f\ar shoreline , cut upriver to the dam and then shot back downriver from me . i lost him when a treble hook with 30 lb. line cought in the rocks became involved . i got the hook , the line and no fish !
the second came about 3 p.m. using a small trout fly , wham , zing ! screaming reel for about 45 seconds .
that was it for the day , i had enough of the good weather , give me some rain , a few clowds and a touch of jack frost .
