Lake Kegonsa State Park: Renovations To Close Beach And Boat Landing
STOUGHTON – The beach and boat landing at Lake Kegonsa State Park near here will be closing soon for extensive renovations.
The beach will be closed Monday, Sept. 13 for the season. Renovation work will focus on minimizing erosion and providing a high quality sandy beach area.
The boat landing will close for about five weeks as of Monday, Sept. 20. Work here will include installing new concrete launch ramps, a new pier and new information kiosk, along with replacing all asphalt in the parking area.
“When completed, this project will provide an excellent launch facility to those who want to fish and boat on Lake Kegonsa,” said park supervisor Dave Borsecnik.
