rg2002,
Welcome to the boards. You will find alot of info on the big cats listed on the board. Have alook through the listings on this board and also on the Texas board. As you live in the Fort Wourth area, do you fish any of the local lakes? Do you ever get the chance to make it to the coast for some of that great Gulf Fishing?[Smile]

Texas Gulf Coast Fisher <*(())))))))))>{
http://www.studentpcsonline.com

Howdy, rg I live near Richland/Chambers Lake just south of Corsicana and the wife and I 'catfish' alot right off the bank, mostly at night....this is one very easy recipe, and it WORKS. Take your Chicken Livers, one container, (the night before fishing) and cut into bait size chunks, drain and place into a bowl, and then sprinkle the contents of "StrawberryBanana" Jello... Let sit, covered in icebox, for 5-8 hours. This works very well, The only draw back is that the acid breaks the livers down some, so I use a triple hook (a #4 or #6) and careful casting. Another good bait is "Danny Kings Punch Bait". This stuff isn't easy to find and its kind of expensive and boy does it stink, but it works great. To remove the odor from your hands use' Liquid Dial Hand Soap'.... 'Baby Wipes' work well when your fishing to remove grim and odor....... Tight Lines, scoob

Hay Scoobie2.
If you soak them livers in salt water 1-2 days for 12 hours or more before you do the strawberry banana jello trick you will find that they hold up better and still works great for the cats.
When are you going to make it back out to the banks for some cats?[Smile]

Texas Gulf Coast Fisher <*(())))))))))>{
http://www.studentpcsonline.com

Saltwater? Thats a great idea! I'll try it next week, here at home. I have a small lake right outside my backdoor. We mostly fish for Cats during the spring and early summer down at the big lake and then switch over and fish for Crappy in early summer. I fish for Bass all the Time, but prefer to eat Catfish and Crappy. I learned a technique for catchen large Bluecats this year, but they just don't taste as good as the smaller Channel or Blue. The catfish are there and fishing for them is good all year long. When you get your Butt back down here, maybe you'll have time for a large plate of fried catfish. Will, I got the boat ready, and I beleive we going to try to find some Crappy Monday or Tuesday. scoob
