Captain Dave Hanson of Fishbuster Charters fished off Boca Grande Pass and off Bonita Beach (including MAY REEF) this week, using light and heavy tackle with shrimp and thread herrings. Tarpon were rolling off Boca Grande, and two hit, but no hook-ups this time. Clients caught keeper mangrove snapper, keeper gag grouper, catch-and-release red grouper, triggerfish, sheepshead, grunts, porgies, porkfish, Spanish mackerel, and large jack cravalle. They also caught and released jewfish to 25 inches (with a few hits and breaks from big ones), barracuda, and nurse shark to 6 feet.
