Hunters Asked To Assist In Search
#1
PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota hunters are being asked to assist in the search for an elderly North Dakota couple who were reported missing from their Hettinger, N.D. home on Aug. 17.
To this point, there have been no credible sightings of Norman and Yvonne Olson, and ground and air searches have turned up no clues.
Now family members are requesting help from the general public. Specifically, the Olson’s son Blake is reaching out to hunters as they take the field to be watchful for any clues that might help the family in their search.
"We believe that they may still be in the area," Blake Olson said, "and we hope that with the upcoming hunting seasons their chance of being found will be greatly increased."
Olson said that more information on his missing parents can be accessed at a web site established to assist in the search for the couple. The web address is www.normanandyvonneolson.com. The site contains pictures and the latest information on the case.
Hunters who find any evidence of the couple should immediately report their findings to a local sheriff’s office, conservation officer or other law enforcement office.
